REFERENCE: Intira is a young woman who grew up in somewhat of an in-between where she comes from on Earth. She grew up on the streets, and even in a relatively crime-free environment, there were plenty of bad habits to learn. Little gangs and their ilk were common, and Intira grew up in one, learning to swindle and beg for money to get by.

Despite the fact that she has a NetID chip just like most every human in her world, she fell through the cracks. Living on the street meant her NetID was never connected to a value of work or a place to live, and it offered her a lot of anonymity. Unfortunately, it also offered vulnerability.

That came into play when she was seventeen or eighteen - the date, she claims, is hazy - when someone decided they'd had enough of her whimsical attitude and decided they were going to teach her her place. It was a rough week or so, and there were plenty of things that happened that Intira cheerily ignores or pretends she doesn't recall, but the end result was all that really mattered. The man who'd made the decision was dead, and by her hand. It sparked a downhill tumble for her for a time, where individuals ceased to really matter in the face of her own survival. If she thought she had to kill to get away, so be it.

This tumble lasted until she was nearly 20, when she stumbled upon a man who would change her outlook forever. Percy Zaal was an unassuming man, but only until he spoke. Intira may not have felt a kinship with him, but when he spoke of a job offer to a young woman he'd caught trying to steal from him, she certainly felt almost obligated to hear him out. By the time he'd finished, she'd decided maybe it was time to change her tune. She had one question to ask: if they weren't to kill going forward, what about deaths in the past?

Assured that one's actions moving forward were the important part, she signed on to work with GRAFT, a cyberprotection agency that specialises in protecting those who are targeted by unlawful organisations. Her history remains unknown to her coworkers, even her active partner.

PERSONALITY:

Bold and vivacious, Intira is someone people tend to get along with fairly well. She's quick to cheer, slow to anger, and fun to be around - all with a habit of dragging (willing) friends out of their shells.

It's easy to go no further - easier still to let oneself be put off by some measure of her personality. Be it the flirtatiousness or the habit of positing 'ship ideas' at the very person in question, Intira's whimsy can sometimes prove difficult to deal with. She's unapologetic for her habits, but definitely apologetic for anyone she actually offends. It's all supposed to be in good fun, after all.

Deeper down, though, there's a lot that goes unspoken. It can be seen in rare moments of vulnerability, usually where she thinks no one is watching - behind the smiles and carefree words is a quiet seriousness, bordering on brooding. Where it comes from is anyone's guess, and if she's caught indulging, she'll often laugh it off and attribute it to some vague, barely believable situation. She maintains a quiet worry that she'll fall into old habits - forget, somehow, the value of a life as it was taught to her. As a result, she typically tries to avoid situations where she might be forced to fight, outside of those necessitated by her work.

ABILITIES:
  • EntraDermaLinks (EDLs): Not technically an ability themselves, an EDL allows Intira to (at least within her canon) connect with her avatar in cyberspace, as well as to manifest it in physical space. Intira has three that work together, linked in a triangular formation over her left shoulder.

  • Scattered Capsule BlossomBurst: Intira's personally designed avatar. BlossomBurst itself is an avatar shaped somewhat like a Hindu goddess - beautiful and feminine, possessing multiple arms and a serene grace. The avatar's abilities as a Knight type avatar (well-balanced between attack and defense) lean more toward defensive capabilities when used, and include the following.
    • Containment Bubbles: The core of BlossomBursts's abilities. These are similar in use to force cages and the like. They're capable of sustaining prolonged pressure or damage without faltering, as long as Intira and/or her avatar have the physical strength and concentration to maintain them. Generally, allies can pass through the bubbles, while enemies cannot, and they provide normal access to air and the like. This can, however, be coded to deny air to an individual. They can be moved and positioned with their inhabitants safely, and she herself can move while contained in her own bubble.

    • Hacking: Only mentioned under her avatar because being able to use BlossomBurst offers a more personalised and almost supernatural ability to use and hack her surroundings. Outside of BB, Intira's got average skill with actual hacking.

    • Damage Mitigation & Damage Transfer: BlossomBurst is equipped with damage nullifying equipment to better suit its position as a support avatar, and as a result, its lowered combat ability is bolstered by a stronger pool of 'health' and hardiness against certain kinds of attacks. Additionally, any damage the avatar suffers only transfers on a 1:10 scale to Intira herself.
